About Me
I've been a woodworking hobbyist in southwest Ohio for the last 35 years making gifts for family and friends, and have been woodworking over the last 50. I started my specialty woodworking business five years ago, and since then I've been selling regionally in juried shows and galleries such as Art on the Commons in Kettering, ArtFest on Main in Springboro, Art on the Lawn in Yellow Springs, the Holiday Arts and Crafts show in Kettering, and the Miamisburg Art Gallery. I've now brought my art to a national audience through this website to bring my passion for making heirloom quality, high end, customized woodcrafts to people who appreciate the difference and desire this level of craftsmanship.

I offer laser engraving and CNC carving. I have three workshops spread among my home and local area, fully stocked with high quality power and hand tools that allow me to precision machine to the tolerances required for this fine work. My design studio uses computer design software for personalization. Local shops supply the majority of the required hardwoods and equipment supplies.

Power equipment includes a cabinet saw, router CNC, planer, jointer, lathe, drill press, band saw, sanders, dust collection and filtration system, routers, and three generations of hand tools.

How quickly do you ship items in stock?

These ship FREE in the continental USA in 1 - 2 business days, well wrapped and cushioned, via USPS Ground Advantage insured.
How long does it take to make a custom piece?​

This depends on the complexity of the item. Custom pens can take up to 2 weeks to acquire the wood and mechanism if not in stock. For larger products, it typically takes 15 - 30 days after design for fabrication, with another 5 to 10 days for engraving if required.

The first stage is for you to contact me with your idea. I'll design the piece and email you back the details with price and an estimate of the time needed. We'll confirm all the details before I proceed.

Once you approve the final design, I'll fabricate the item and send you a final picture once it's completed and before any personalization is done.

If personalization is required, I request 80% payment before engraving, as these items are unique for you.

Once I receive payment, you would then pay the balance, and the piece would be shipped.
What's the shipping cost?

All items have free shipping within the continental USA via USPS Ground Advantage, insured.

Absolutely! Items can ship via USPS Priority Express, UPS or Fed Ex at an additional cost. Please contact me for a quick quote.
Do you charge sales tax?

We charge sales tax on all shipments within Ohio, but do not charge sales tax for items shipped outside of Ohio. The purchaser in other states should check with local tax laws to verify if you are subject to use taxes, which are solely the responsibility of the purchaser.
What are your engraving capabilities?

Engraving is at extra cost, so please contact me with your wishes before you purchase, and I'll get right back to you with the cost.

For signs, I can either CNC or laser engrave. CNC carved areas can be painted or left wood colored.

For boxes and pens, I recommend laser engraving. Both the inside and outside of box lids can be personalized. Pens can be laser engraved.
Is each item unique?

Absolutely. Wood is a natural product with variations in color, texture , weight and grain. Each piece is a one of a kind item.
What kind of woods can you use?

Boxes can be crafted from domestic hardwoods of walnut, cherry, sycamore, red and white oak, curly and soft maple, or others like aspen or Koa.

I also produce boxes and pens from exotic woods including padauk, zebrawood, santos rosewood, African Blackwood, eberia, and peruvian walnut, as these woods typically are more heavily figured and show better on smaller items. All woods are obtained from ethical and responsible importers. Endangered species are avoided unless they are being obtained from highly reputable sources, and used only in small quantities as for pens.
